NorthPack is an ambitious project which aims to unite web related professionals based in the North of England and shine a spotlight on the Northern community, providing a showcase for talent and the great work that goes on "up North".

Northpack was first conceived of in May 2007 following the BarCamp Sheffield event, but it was only through the formation of the NorthCrew that development really got underway.

When it comes to a northern web community, what currently exists is scattered and fragmented. NorthPack's aim is to change all that. Providing a central point for web professionals to flourish and become aware of each other.

NorthCrew has a huge list of ideas and future features, however this is a community site driven by the community and we need to know what you want to see.

We hope NorthPack will grow into the principal information source for anyone with an interest in web related professions in the North.
